Mar­vin Hel­ler was born in 1992 in Schwer­te, Ger­ma­ny. He stu­died elec­tri­cal en­gi­nee­ring and in­for­ma­ti­on tech­no­lo­gy at TU Dort­mund Uni­ver­si­ty until 2015 when he swit­ched to Ruhr-Uni­ver­si­tät Bo­chum for his mas­ter stu­dies. There he spe­cia­li­zed in me­di­cal en­gi­nee­ring and wor­ked as a re­se­arch as­sis­tant at the Chair of Me­di­cal En­gi­nee­ring.

Mar­vin Hel­ler gra­dua­ted as Mas­ter of Sci­ence in 2017 with his Mas­ter‘s The­sis on the “In­ves­ti­ga­ti­on of Be­am­for­ming Al­go­rith­ms for Ar­ti­fact Re­duc­tion of Ul­tra­sound Ima­ging in Acousti­cal­ly In­ho­mo­ge­neous Media“.

In Fe­bru­ary 2018, Mar­vin Hel­ler joined the Chair of Me­di­cal En­gi­nee­ring as PhD can­di­da­te. His re­se­arch fo­cu­ses on ul­tra­sound re­con­struc­tion me­thods and al­go­rith­ms which solve the non­line­ar in­ver­se scat­te­ring pro­blem.
