Zukunftstag
On the nationwide Zukunftstag, we offer the workshop “Deep Insights” for girls in 8th to 10th grade, where you can experience the technical aspects of ultrasound imaging in a hands-on way.

DeepH, a new method for fast harmonic ultrasound imaging, is published by the IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control.
Funded by the DFG and in a joint work with the Chair of Photonics and Terahertz Technology, Volodymyr Rohovets investigates how to increase the penetration depth of light into tissue by inducing refractive index patterns with ultrasound.
The chair for Medical Engineering participates in the terahertz.NRW project starting in August 2022. Paul Hagemeyer will transfer tomographic reconstruction methods developed for ultrasound imaging at our chair to the THz range and will further improve these methods for 3D.
Our contribution to the challenge with Thomas Lisson as first author finished best in the localization category and as runner-up in the localization and tracking category.
